LADY LILLIAN CARR MITCHELL

Lady Lillian Mitchell is the first lady of First Pilgrims Baptist Church, where she proudly serves alongside her husband Rev. Dr. Eugene M. Mitchell. Her love for God is evident in her humble spirit and her willingness to serve. She is one of God’s prized possessions, a beautiful example of a woman, a first lady, a minister’s wife, a mother to all, and a leader. She is an embodiment of unconditional love that is displayed each Sunday as she extends a “warm welcome” to everyone that enters the doors of the church.

 

She currently serves as President of the Women's Department Ministry. The Women Ministry is open to all women of First Pilgrims. Its mission is to come together to fellowship and serve God’s people in unity.  To unite to minister to and serve the needs of the Body of Christ, the surrounding community and each other so that Jesus Christ will be exalted and glorified. This ministry provides various activities that will allow them to come together to worship the Lord, share common needs, interests and goals, emphasize outreach, witness to the lost, encourage personal spiritual growth, and strengthen their families all based on the Word of God.

 

It is Lady Mitchell’s prayer which through these events and activities that the women will grow in their faith, love and hope; and are able to witness to those who do not know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord while enjoying fellowship with the sisters of First Pilgrims Baptist Church.
